Obama Wins Nobel Peace Prize
In case you haven't heard, it was announced this morning that President Obama has won the Nobel Peace Prize.
Don't ask me why... maybe as a consolation prize for not getting the Olympics, who knows. Interesting note: the nominations for the Peace Prize closed a mere 11 days after his inauguration.
Lech Walesa, former President of Poland (you know, the country that Obama threw under the bus) and Solidarity leader, said, "So soon? Too early. He has no contribution so far."
I posted on this also, but just because the nominations closed so soon doesn't mean it was rigged.
ReplyDeleteI don't think Jamison is necessarily saying it was rigged. I do think he believes, as do I, that the award is completely unmerited.
ReplyDeleteLarry said it: I don't think it was rigged, just that he is completely undeserving of it.
ReplyDeleteOf course, it's not that surprising, because the Nobel committee is pretty far left. After all, one of the new members is in the Norwegian parliament in the Socialist Left Party.
It's more of an attempt to hold Obama to their shared leftist philosophy than based on actual achievements.
