As a "government shutdown" looms, in part due to Republicans determination to defund the abortion giant Planned Parenthood (and Democrats desire to keep the funding intact), stunning facts have come to light about the operations of Planned Parenthood.
According to Planned Parenthood, they performed 332,278 abortions in 2009. For reference, the 2009 population of Cincinatti, Ohio, was 333,012.
CNSNews.com: The 332,278 abortions Planned Parenthood performed over the 365 days of 2009 equals an average of 910 lives terminated per day--or about 38 per hour, or one every 95 seconds.
Planned Parenthood, according to its most recent annual report, also received $363.2 million in government grants and contracts during its fiscal year that ended on June 30, 2009.
Planned Parenthood spokeswoman Tait Sye recently told Bloomberg Businessweek that 90 percent of that $363.2 million came directly from the federal government or from Medicaid, a federal-state program. Thus, Planned Parenthood received about $326.88 million from federal programs in 2009.

By the time you finish reading this post, Planned Parenthood will have murdered another innocent unborn child. This unspeakable abomination must come to an end.

It should be pointed out that they are performing a legal medical act. Whether you agree with abortion or not, performing an abortion is not illegal.
ReplyDelete.... and it should be made illegal. Murder is illegal, and that's precisely what abortion is. Murder.
ReplyDeleteWell then make it illegal, but until it is, then it is unfair to persecute someone for performing a legal act.
ReplyDeleteNo one is persecuting them - no one has the right to public funding under any circumstances and certainly not when the VAST majority of taxpayers oppose the funding.
ReplyDeletePlanned Parenthood is a racist front-alley abortion mill which aborts about 50% of all black pregnancies and opens office nearly exclusively in minority neighborhoods. I oppose them on race grounds but more on moral ones.
I don't want to persecute them, just bankrupt them (especially if they are using MY dime!).
No one is persecuting Planned Parenthood. They don't have a "right" to public funding, so that funding is just being removed. And the vast majority of taxpayers agree with that action.
ReplyDeletePlanned Parenthood is a racist organization, founded by a racist, financed by racists and run by racists - it has no place at the pubic trough. Look at it's history - it nearly always sets up in poor, minority neighborhoods and now aborts about 50% of black pregnancies. We want to support that with public monies? It also supports China's one-child genocide movement - we want to support that with public monies.
I think not.
It may be legal, but my family and I should NOT be forced to pay for it with our tax dollars!
ReplyDeleteTaxpayer money doesn't go to pay for Abortions. That is against federal law. It does pay for other stuff like contraceptive and std testing and treatment. They open up in poor neighborhoods because that is their market. Those are the people that need the medical care the most because they can't afford it. Only 3% of what they do is abortion related.
