OKGOP Fundraising Continues to Break Records
(Oklahoma City)- The Oklahoma Republican Party today announced the completion of yet another successful fundraising quarter. During the 2nd quarter of 2011, the OKGOP raised $118,794.80 from 895 donors in 67 counties. The amount outpaces every second quarter in a non-election year on record, going back to 1987.
"The Oklahoma Republican Party doesn't go away in non-election years, it's quite the opposite," said OKGOP Chairman Matt Pinnell. "We are building the infrastructure now that will be needed in 2012. We have a tremendous opportunity next year to expand our majorities at the state House and Senate level, elect a new President, and send a conservative Republican to Congress from the 2nd District. We will continue to tirelessly raise the necessary resources that will be required to maintain our reputation as the reddest state in the nation," concluded Pinnell.
