10 things to prepare for Trump's mega-MAGA rally on Saturday

As we get closer to the President Donald Trump's mega-MAGA rally in Tulsa, here are a few things to keep in mind if you plan on attending (reserve tickets here):

1. Be prepared for a long wait in line.
People are already waiting in line outside the BOK Center. Doors open at 3pm for the 7pm rally. If you're unable to get in due to crowd capacity,  the Trump campaign is setting up outdoor viewing areas as well in order to accommodate as many people as possible.

2. Bring your photo ID.
Security will be tight, and you will need identification to get in.

3. Don't bring anything that won't make it through security.
This includes weapons, knives, backpacks, large bags, tripods, professional cameras with detachable lenses, and homemade signs or banners. Signs will be provided once inside the arena.

4. Wear sunscreen... and bring raingear.
You will likely be outside in line for hours, so you will want to prepare for the potential for an epic sunburn. Also, the current forecast calls for a 50% chance of thunderstorms, so bringing some raingear likes ponchos would be a good idea.

5. Stay hydrated.
You want to be able to holler and cheer at the rally, right? Stay hydrated while outside waiting in line. You might want to bring something to munch on while you wait. It's my understanding that there will be concessions available inside the BOK Center.

6. Wear comfortable shoes.
See #1. Plus, you'll probably spend most of the rally on your feet with the rest of the crowd.

7. Be respectful of protestors.
They will be present and in force. Don't do anything to antagonize, cause a scene, or embarrass your mother. Remember, there will be a mob of national media present to document everything.

8. Take whatever COVID-19 precautions you are able to do.
The Trump campaign will be taking temperatures and refusing admittance to individuals who present fevers or other symptoms. They will also be distributing masks and hand sanitizer to attendees. If you have COVID-19 or COVID-19 symptoms, don't go.

9. Holler "Four More Years" for me!
I would love to be able to attend, but I have some prior committments that will prevent me from going.

10. Be careful -- and patient -- on your way home.
As long as it will take to get inside, be prepared for the crowds when its time to go home.
