US SENATE CANDIDATE NATHAN DAHM RELEASES STATEMENT ON POTENTIAL RUSSIA AND UKRAINE WAR
Oklahoma (January 24, 2022) - State Senator and candidate for US Senate Nathan Dahm released a statement on the potential of a Russia and Ukraine war:
"The radical left and the war-mongering RINOs in Washington DC are championing American involvement in Ukraine while the rogue Biden regime fails to secure our southern border.
America must use our resources here at home to secure our border and take care of the American people. Getting involved in Ukraine doesn't benefit anybody except the corrupt political establishment in Washington.
It's time we put America First."
Out of sight, out of mind, huh?
ReplyDeleteI lived in Ukraine while Russia terrorized their people and colonized Crimea. Nobody is changing our sovereign borders. Individuals are crossing into America for a better life, but if Mexico tried to annex one inch of US soil it would be a declaration of war. Ukrainians fought for their independence and we swore to protect their borders if they surrendered their nuclear weapons. We are contractually obligated to protect their borders. (Budapest Memorandum, 1994)
In principle, if The United States are not obligated to protect Ukraine's borders then they do not need to honor any agreements with any sovereign nations. It would seem that, in principle, tribal policy would support Ukraine based on the Budapest Memorandum. Otherwise, the guarantees included in the Indian Removal Act hold no validity, either.

ReplyDeleteWould the Native Americans of all of the tribes have peacefully removed from their ancestral lands without the promise of their own land in Oklahoma Territory? How would Oklahoma Native Americans today feel if that agreement was dissolved?
ReplyDeleteHonoring our agreements IS putting America first. I agree that we should protect our southern border, but there is no dichotomy involved in doing so. One does not prevent the other.
