68 Republican Legislators Endorse Gov. Kevin Stitt for Re-election
April 15, 2022 (Oklahoma City, Okla.) – As the filing period closes, 68 Republican legislators in the State House and Senate announced their endorsement today of Governor Kevin Stitt for re-election in 2022.
“Governor Kevin Stitt has been a champion for government reform, school choice, and fiscal responsibility. He has been an effective partner with me on these critical issues, and I am honored to endorse him for another term as governor,” said Senate President Pro Temp Greg Treat (R-Oklahoma City).
“Rural Oklahoma elected Governor Kevin Stitt, and he has protected us and listened to us throughout his first few years in office. Stitt has worked with the rural legislators to prioritize economic development in our communities, stood up for our agriculture industry, and advanced road and bridge projects to improve our local infrastructure. It’s important we have him for another four years,” said Sen. Brent Howard (R-Altus).
“Governor Kevin Stitt has put Oklahoma on the map as the freest in the nation. Conservatives are proud of his fighting spirit and fiscal stewardship. He is delivering better services while shrinking State government. We need four more years of his leadership to solidify this positive momentum for a generation,” said Sen. Julie Daniels (R-Bartlesville).
“Veterans across Oklahoma, like myself, want four more years of Governor Kevin Stitt’s leadership. Stitt has taken care of Oklahoma’s military members, defense contractors and veterans by challenging the Biden administration and fighting for our own freedoms during the pandemic. Stitt has also brought well-respect military leaders into his inner circle to improve care and services for all veterans who call Oklahoma home. We must see to it that he can continue this good work,” said Rep. Kevin McDugle (R-Broken Arrow).
“Governor Kevin Stitt has been an unwavering defender of freedom during some of the most challenging times in a generation, and we need his fearless leadership for another four years,” said Representative Chad Caldwell (R-Enid).
“Governor Kevin Stitt is a principled conservative. He has worked with me to hold government accountable and protect Oklahomans’ tax dollars, and I am eager to see him re-elected so we can continue to deliver a smaller, more efficient government,” said Rep. Sheila Dills (R-Tulsa).
