I'll get to the rest of the field later (13 Republicans filed for this race!), but former State House Speaker T.W. Shannon reports in the following press release that he raised almost $400k in his first few weeks of campaigning.
Shannon Raises Nearly $400K in First Three Weeks
Oklahoma City – Former Oklahoma Speaker of the House and banking CEO T.W. Shannon today announced he raised nearly $400,000 in a three-week period following the official announcement of his Republican candidacy for the United States Senate.
Shannon will report an impressive haul of $395,421.24 for the first quarter filing period, including $375,297.00 from Oklahoma contributors, representing 95 percent of the money raised.
“In three short weeks we received an outpouring of support from every corner of the state, because Oklahomans are ready for authentic, conservative leadership that will stand up to the woke agenda, the disastrous Biden economic and energy policies that are pricing people out of the American Dream, and the weakness that invites tyrants and adversaries to test America,” said Shannon.
“I will go to Washington to defend liberty, to limit government, and to restore opportunity for Oklahoma families,” said Shannon. “I will be a unique voice against the forces of wokeness, because I know America is not home to systemic racism, but systemic opportunity.”
Shannon will also report $392,743.96 cash-on-hand, with an impressive 100:1 ratio of money raised to money spent. Shannon was the last candidate to enter the crowded field of those who reported.
Shannon has been married to his college sweetheart, Devon, for 20 years, and they have a 16-year old daughter and 12-year old son.
My husband and I were impressed with TW Shannon on the Gutfield show tonight. He radiated intelligence, resolve, integrity, and clarity and we would not be surprised if he wins the US presidency one day, hopefully in the near future! What a great young man! Melinda and Scott Lucas
