Stitt breaks reelection fundraising record with $1.2M in first quarter donations

OKLAHOMANS DONATING TO STITT FOR GOVERNOR BREAKS ANOTHER STATE FUNDRAISING RECORD

Oklahoma City, Okla. (April 29, 2022) – The Stitt for Governor 2022 campaign today announced Governor Kevin Stitt raised a record-breaking $1.2 million in the first quarter (Q1) of the 2022 election cycle, driven by donations from Oklahomans across the state.

The total amount raised marks the largest Q1 filed by an Oklahoma candidate for statewide office in a re-election year. The campaign ended the quarter with $2.6 million cash on hand, the most by any incumbent Oklahoma Governor.

“Oklahomans are proud that we have shown the nation how to successfully build a robust economy with conservative, common-sense policies that put freedom first,” said Gov. Kevin Stitt. “We faced tough times just a few years ago, but the Turnaround is working. We have built the 4th largest State savings account in the nation, cut taxes for all Oklahomans, and position our state with smart policies to support our local innovators and compete for the best jobs in the world.”

The Q1 announcement comes on the heels of former President Donald J. Trump endorsing Gov. Stitt for re-election, the first Trump endorsement in Oklahoma in the 2022 election cycle.

“Stitt is a champion for our America First agenda, a fearless defender of the Second Amendment, and a supporter of our great Military and Vets,” Trump said. “He is strong on the border and believes in American Energy Independence. Kevin Stitt has my complete and total endorsement.”

“Everywhere I go to represent the State, it has been an appreciation tour of Oklahoma. People love our bold vision and clear values. It’s no wonder we’ve seen a historic migration of people moving here to raise their families, start new businesses and join our Oklahoma movement,” said. Gov. Stitt.

Data released by the U.S. Census Bureau in December 2021 showed Oklahoma’s recent population growth, driven by migration from other states, outpaced a majority of the nation.
