MCALESTER, OK (June 10th) – Today Republican candidate for Oklahoma’s 2nd Congressional District, Pamela Gordon announced that she has been endorsed by Michael Barrett, who served as the 17th Sergeant Major of the United States Marine Corps from 2011-2015.
Barrett shared the following:
“With great enthusiasm and deference, I offer my endorsement and full support to Pamela Gordon.
Our professional relationship spans 15+ years. In every occasion in which I have come across Mrs. Gordon, her enduring trust qualities are what stand out: competent, committed, consistently dependable, of the highest moral and ethical character, and everything she does is for the team. No task too great or small, Pam Gordon is your get-it-done leader, your warrior for Right!”
Gordon had this to say about the endorsement:
“I am equally humbled and honored to receive the endorsement of my dear friend, Michael Barrett, who served as the 17th Sergeant Major of the United States Marine Corps. His leadership inspired me daily as I watched him guide our Marines to be the best they could be.
Working alongside those who take an oath to defend the U.S. Constitution from domestic and foreign enemies has been an incredible privilege as an American civilian. Sgt Major Barrett and his colleagues in the Military embody American patriotism, and their willful service in defending our country inspires me to fight for our Constitutional freedoms and liberties as a public servant with the same warrior spirit.
As your next Congresswoman, I look forward to supporting our Military service members, active duty and retired and collaborating with them to maintain awareness about how a position of strength can be bolstered so that our nation is protected from enemies who would like to see our demise.”
