Ted Cruz endorses Josh Brecheen in CD2 runoff

U.S. Senator Ted Cruz today endorsed Josh Brecheen in Oklahoma's 2nd Congressional District GOP runoff. Additionally, Congressman Matt Rosendale (R-MT) of the House Freedom Caucus will be joining Brecheen on the campaign trail, with stops planned today (Bartlesville, 4:30pm) and tomorrow (Muskogee, 8:00am).

Josh will put the nation's interests above his own and he will fight to secure the border, protect life, and put parents back in charge of their kids’ education. Cruz won the 2016 Oklahoma presidential primary, including the 2nd Congressional District, where he placed first or second in every county. Since the primary, Cruz has been one of President Donald Trump's staunchest allies in the U.S. Senate.

Brecheen was one of the most conservative members of the legislature during his eight years there, ranking third-most conservative in the Oklahoma Constitution's Conservative Index, and tied for second in the American Conservative Union ranking.
