Brecheen spearheads letter to McConnell opposing $1.7T omnibus spending bill

Oklahoma's 2nd District Congressman-elect Josh Brecheen has hit the ground running. One of his top priorities on the campaign trail was returning fiscal responsibility to the forefront of congressional action, and he's making good on his word.

Brecheen spearheaded a letter (posted below) to Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, calling on him to:

"... hold the line and oppose the $1.7 trillion omnibus appropriations package for fiscal year 2023. We support House Republican Leadership’s push for a short-term continuing resolution into 2023, allowing the new House Republican majority, of which we are a part, an opportunity to claw back President Biden’s agenda."

Like his mentor, the late Dr. Tom Coburn, Josh Brecheen is going to be a warrior for fiscal conservatism. He's a workhorse, not a showhorse, and I'm looking forward to seeing him in action.

Here is the letter from Brecheen and colleagues:

  1. Josh is off to a good start, but he will be battling too many RINOS in his own party. Soon, "The Party" will try to mute him because he's aligned with "the people" not the Deep State. Mitch McConnel's actions are case in point.
