Walters Praises Successful Thanksgiving Break Tutoring Program
Oklahoma City, Okla – State Superintendent Ryan Walters hailed the success of a tutoring program designed to help at-risk students who are behind on reading with literacy support during the Thanksgiving holiday break.
“We will do everything possible to ensure the success of our students, and I will not allow our schools to fail,” said Walters. “The success of this program shows that Oklahomans care deeply about the future of our kids. I look forward to rolling out more expansive tutoring programs in the coming months to do everything possible to make sure Oklahoma students get Back to Basics.”
Western Heights Schools joined in a literacy tutoring program over the Thanksgiving holiday break with nearly 150 students benefitting.
