Americans for Prosperity-Oklahoma Announces State Legislative Endorsements

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK (June 10th) - Americans for Prosperity - Oklahoma (AFP-OK) today announced its endorsement of four candidates for the state Senate and House of Representatives.

The following candidates earned the support of AFP-OK for their integrity and steadfast commitment to expanding the opportunity for all Oklahomans to achieve their version of the American Dream.

AFP-OK will mobilize its statewide network of activists behind these candidates and support them through digital ads and mail, so that they can get to work in the legislature making Oklahoma a better place to live, work, start a business and raise a family.

John Tidwell, AFP-OK State Director, gave the following statement:

"Oklahoma deserves steady, conservative leaders like these in the state legislature who will slash taxes and burdensome regulations and empower people to reach their full potential in school or the workforce.

"As the state's premier grassroots organization, we have a proven track record of making the difference in competitive elections because of our state-of-the-art grassroots infrastructure. We look forward to working with these candidates in 2025 to stand up for our Oklahoma values."

Endorsed candidates:

State Sen. Micheal Bergstrom (SD-01): Bergstrom has been a crucial partner of AFP-OK in his role as chair of the Senate Administrative Rules Committee, leading the chamber to cut back taxes, regulatory red tape, occupational licensing, and other barriers that put government in the way of people's prosperity. As a former teacher, Bergstrom is an impactful voice in support of expanding education opportunities and keeping families in control of their children's education.

State Sen. Julie Daniels (SD-29): Daniels was instrumental in the passage of the Oklahoma Parental Choice Tax Credit and other school choice programs. She has worked hard to keep the cost of living low in Oklahoma, authoring several tax cut bills and supporting the elimination of the grocery tax in this year’s session.

State Rep. Denise Crosswhite-Hader (HD-41): As a proven leader in education reform, Crosswhite-Hader will continue the fight for universal school choice across Oklahoma once reelected. She has been a steadfast ally of AFP-OK on key policy priorities including tax cuts, regulatory reforms and labor issues who will make a difference for all working Oklahomans.

Nick Pokorny (non-incumbent, HD-53): Nick Pokorny is a steadfast friend of AFP-OK's who is poised to be a strong advocate for universal school choice. He believes in eliminating the state income tax and reforming Oklahoma's occupational licensing laws: crucial reforms that will give Oklahomans the freedom they need to thrive in the workplace.
