August 5, 2024 (Duncan, OK) – Duncan businesswoman Stacy Jo Adams is pleased to announce that Governor Kevin Stitt has endorsed her candidacy in the runoff election for State Representative District 50, to be held on August 27. The winner of the August 27 ballot will represent constituents in Stephens and Jefferson counties in the Oklahoma House of Representatives.

Governor Stitt stated, “With the Biden/Harris economic disaster continuing to wreak havoc on families, and the threats to our freedom and safety at our southern border, we must elect proven leaders who will stand for our families and a strong future. Stacy Jo Adams has been successful through challenges and emerged stronger. She is committed to her faith and her community. With four generations of my family serving in the US military, I know exactly what freedoms we are fighting for. When my Dad was deployed and throughout his career of service to our country, I had to find my way through many challenges, but our American spirit and willingness to fight for freedom and a better future should never falter - we just must pick up and keep going. I became the first in my family to graduate high school, and have learned from each life lesson. My husband and I raised 7 boys, and I’m now a grandmother of 7, building my own business from scratch and moving from a run-down trailer to buying a home and small farm we love. I learned the harm that comes from lack of mentorship, so we have invested heavily in the next generation, and my husband coaches community youth in wrestling. I have taught Sunday school, and we work to show that no matter where you start, freedom and opportunity can await if you work and are faithful to God’s word. Through building my insurance business, I have learned first hand the challenges the Biden/Harris administration has inflicted on businesses and families, making it harder for our neighbors to make their paycheck reach their next payday, and right now the American Dream seems like it is beyond reach.
