Walters touts Teacher Freedom Alliance, alternative to "Woke Teachers' Unions"

Walters Touts Alternative to Woke Teachers' Unions
Teacher Freedom Alliance provides a necessary free market solution

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK (March 10th) – Today, Superintendent Ryan Walters announced intent to lead the charge to offer a private industry solution to the far left-leaning Teachers' Unions that have infected our public education system for decades. The Freedom Foundation launched the Teacher Freedom Alliance (TFA) on Saturday, introducing a program that provides liability coverage for teachers, promotes historically accurate curriculum, and offers professional development opportunities. These measures aim to help excellent teachers be rewarded for their proficiency rather than their longevity and allegiance to the union.

"Teachers deserve the ability to be rewarded for being great," said OSDE Superintendent Ryan Walters. "They will no longer be harassed into joining an organization that is laser focused on breaking up the moral fiber of America. We've been clear that we're not going to tolerate distractions to education like CRT, DEI, gender ideology, and antisemitism in our classrooms."

Walters is a champion for rewarding excellence in the teaching profession with measures like merit pay and signing bonus and has fought to give teachers control of their classrooms by supporting them in their ability to discipline students. The Teachers' Unions have historically opposed all these private industry, free market solutions and they will now see a more robust attempt to fight the Unions with the help of the TFA.

"There's new leadership in the White House and we're going to make education great again with the help of the Freedom Foundation and Secretary McMahon." added Walters.

More information on the TFA can be found here.

  1. Walters is so concerned about the breaking up of the "moral fiber" of society, but not enough to go through and scrutinize what curriculum is publicly available for teachers to download. Every time I see a headline with his name on it, I know he's somehow making an even bigger fool out of himself!
